The VP of Marketing will drive all marketing and sales activities related to the company’s online offerings. He/she will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for the company’s product offering, working with the sales team and key cable and telco affiliates to develop marketing communications, consumer direct sales programs and affiliate call center promotions that drive growth and revenue.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Define and execute marketing strategies to attract traffic to our affiliates sites, generate subscriptions to our online service offerings. Develop and implement efficient and effective processes, systems and tools to support these marketing efforts.
-Develops and executes all marketing communications and promotional programs associated with affiliate direct sales and consumer advertising programs, including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
-Responsible for developing a creative approach to direct marketing to affiliate call centers, including, but not limited to direct sales campaigns, commission programs, etc.
-Responsible for developing and executing on the overall creative direction of the company
-Reviews analysis of marketing surveys on current and new product concepts in order to recommend future product development.
-Collaborates with the sales and account management teams to optimize pricing and product mix including bundling of products and services, new subscriber offers, and price elasticity testing.
-Increase market share by driving subscriber and revenue targets through conceptualization, execution, and management of customer acquisition and retention marketing and promotional initiatives
-Develops strategy for using external marketing, advertising and public relations and negotiates contract terms and conditions for major services. Serves as liaison with outside agencies on ongoing promotional campaigns.
-Analyze churn rates and develop retention plans, work with the product team to design enhancements to current offerings, and develop engagement strategies to encourage consumer loyalty and usage.
-Produce and analyze key trend reports measuring the performance of marketing campaigns and programs to optimize channel efficiency and maximize channel ROI
-Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image through the development of an integrated marketing strategy throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.

Education, Skills, Abilities

-Proven track record of successfully leading marketing, as well as the acquisition and retention of online consumers
-10 plus years direct marketing and/or general management experience, preferably with subscription revenue business models and digital media experience
-Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field. MBA preferred.
-Managed customer acquisition and loyalty programs successfully and can prioritize initiatives with a strong ROI focus
-Technical skills in strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising.
-Exceptional judgment and decision-making. Ability to make decisions within a fast-paced environment, communicate rationale, and take action
-Must be resourceful, self-motivated, and able to be successful in a non-traditional, fun, entrepreneurial team-based environment
-Excellent organizational, statistical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, written and oral presentation skills. Must have a passion about numbers, market indicators, and metrics – and have the analytical skills to translate hard data into insight and action

This position is located in Buffalo, NY. We will provide relocation.
